We all know the fun families can experience when involved in motocross racing, but along with the good times at the track, we are constantly reminded of the risks involved in riding motorcycles each and every time a rider goes down on the track. This uneasy feeling is what sparked Moto Armor Founders, Kym and Kerry Darby, to want to do something about it. The idea came to them at a race when their youngest son who was racing had a broken chest protector (which really only helps with roost) and does not in any way help prevent internal or spinal injuries. Kym and Kerry made the decision to grab his Mutton Button rodeo vest out of the truck and that as silly as it may look, he would wear that in place of his broken chest protector. They were surprised by the positive response they got when fellow race parents started asking about it. Through a lot of hard work and determination Kym and Kerry were able to convince the rodeo vest manufacturer to create their vest designed specifically for Motocross. It is now Patent Pending.
No rider is invincible, and the required boots and helmet can only go so far in protecting you or your loved ones. Broken ribs can puncture a lung, severed spines can cause paralysis, and ruptured livers/spleens and kidneys can be lethal. That is why we encourage every rider to wear our vest… Have a peace of mind so you can believe in yourself and finish the race in the zone.
Protect Your Loved Ones. Protect Yourself.
